I am very impressed with Marcello Electric. The professional quality of work is amazing. For years I have had tripped fuses due to a panel that did not provide full use of the electrical service into my home. Brandon evaluated my issues and made his recommendation with an unbelievable quote. With reasonable prices we took the opportunity to add dedicated GFI’s for the pool, dedicated for garage, and many more. No more extension cords at this house. THANK YOU - Angela Hoenig
Brandon at Marcello electric installed a portable transfer switch generator solution for me at my house that suffers frequent and long power outages. The system is incredible and his knowledge and transfer of that knowledge is impeccable. From start to finish he ensured I was completely operational and 1000% confident in the result. I highly recommend he and his professionalism to anyone looking for electrical work. - Steve Sneed
Would highly recommend Brandon to anyone having electrical work done in their home. He is very friendly, shows up on time, charges a fair price, and cleans up after himself. - Meg M

Your Questions. Our Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
You will find answers to all of your most common Electrical Services related questions located here.
Why do my lights flicker?
Flickering is often caused by a loose bulb, but it can also indicate a loose wire connection, an overloaded circuit (e.g., when a large appliance like an AC kicks on), or an outdated electrical panel. If it’s persistent, it should be inspected to prevent a potential fire.
Why does my circuit breaker keep tripping?
A breaker trips to protect your home from overheating. Common causes include: Circuit Overload: Too many devices running on one circuit. Short Circuit: A "hot" wire touching a neutral wire. Ground Fault: Electricity diverted to the ground (common in kitchens/bathrooms).
What should I do if my outlet stops working?
Check if a wall switch controls it. Look for a GFCI outlet (the one with "Test/Reset" buttons) nearby and hit "Reset." Check your electrical panel for a tripped breaker. If none of these work, the outlet or wiring may be damaged.
What is a GFCI outlet and where do I need them?
GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets protect you from electric shock by shutting off power instantly if they detect a leak. By code, they are required in "wet" areas: kitchens, bathrooms, garages, basements, and outdoors.
What is the difference between a fuse and a circuit breaker?
Both serve the same purpose: stopping excessive current. Fuses melt a metal ribbon when overloaded and must be replaced after one use. Circuit Breakers use a switch mechanism and can be reset manually.
When should I upgrade my electrical panel?
You should consider an upgrade if: You still have a fuse box or a Federal Pacific panel (known safety hazards). Your breakers trip frequently. You are adding major appliances (EV chargers, hot tubs, or HVAC). Your lights dim when you use the microwave or vacuum.
